The “Great One” began his NHL career in the 1979-80 season, tying for the league lead in points with Marcel Dionne. There was no looking back from there. Gretzky would lead the league in points for seven straight seasons, collecting over 200 points in four of those years. What began as the Islanders dynasty of the 80’s, winning four straight Cups turned into the dynasty of the Oilers, who would win four championships themselves.
