Hockey fans gave Wayne Gretzky a fond farewell in 1999, as they looked towards the bright young stars of the NHL to lead the way into the new millennium. The Flames Jerome Iginla led the scoring race in 2002 while another great Canadiens goaltender emerged as Jose Theodore backstopped Montreal into the playoffs. The Cup would be claimed by the Devils in both 2000 & 2003 while the Red Wings gave Dominik Hasek his first Cup just as the Avalanche were able to present Ray Bourque with his first Stanley Cup ®.
